Mavin artiste, Johnny Drille announces search for unknown artiste for gig

Mavin Records artiste, Johnny Drille, has taken to social media to launch a search for an up-and-coming artiste to perform at his forthcoming music event.

He said he is looking for someone talented that is ”relatively unknown” to be one of the performing acts at Johnny’s Room Live Stage.

The 33-year-old singer said the Mavin backed stage event will hold in Lagos, Abuja and Benin City this month.

Johnny Drille urged fans to tag any artistes that fits into the criteria for them to apply as instructed in a video guide he posted.

He wrote; “We’re looking for that super talented but relatively unknown artiste to perform on the Johnny’s Room Live stage in Abuja, Lagos, and Benin this month.

Tag any of such artistes you know and want to see perform. P.S. See video for instructions.”

YBNL founder, Olamide Adedeji, professionally known as Olamide revealed why he could not sign Afropop singer, Stanley Omah Didia aka Omah Lay to his record label.

The music executive recounted listening to Omah Lay’s one of his hit songs and loving it to a point that he reached out to the 26-year-old.

Olamide while speaking in an interview with UK-based broadcaster Adesope Olajide, revealed that he wanted to sign the ‘Understand’ crooner in the early days of his career, but the singer informed him that he already had a contract with another label.

He said; “Somebody sent me Omah Lay’s song, ‘Bad Influence,’ I had to like search for him on Instagram. I messaged him that I want to sign him but he told me that he got a [recording] deal already.”
