Masquerades on opposing sides engage in messy fight on the road (Video)

A video making the rounds online shows a group of opposing masquerades fighting over what is believed to be territorial supremacy.

They were walking walking in different directions when they decided to stop and confront each other.

The masquerades who are representatives of the gods, first started with using canes but they abandoned the objects and resorted to throwing punches and wrestling.

Men who accompanied the masquerades allowed the fight to take place until one wrestled another to the ground inside a sany gutter and they had to intervene.

Similarly, a Father Christmas got into a physical exchange over an unknown issue with a young man suspected to be a tout, and it caused a disturbance in the area.

The two men were fighting each other on the road when residents saw them and decided to separate both parties.

The Father Christmas was in company of two women who dressed as Santa Claus as well and they tried to end the quarrel but the other man seemed insistent on fighting.

A video which surfaced on social media shows some residents watching from a distance while others decided to intervene.

In entertainment news, Nigerian Dancehall and Afrobeats star, Damini Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, has revealed that he used to get into many fights as a child.

He said that the frequent physical fights he participated in affected him so much that his hand is still ruined till date.

Burna Boy made this known while being interviewed on the red carpet of the recently held British Fashion Awards.

The female interviewer asked the self-styled African Giant which advice he would give his 9-year-old self.

The Grammy winner said he would tell his younger self not to get into too many fights because he messed up his hand.

In a video posted on the internet, she probed Burna Boy to know if his hand is still ruined and he answered affirmatively ‘Yes’.
