Big Brother Naija 2021 star and Nollywood actor, Pere Egbi has averred that marriage is a scam.
The reality TV star stated this in a post on his Twitter page and sparked a debate with his comment.
Pere linked the reason for saying marriage as an institution is a scame is due to the high reports of divorce across board.
He also said that the fact so many couples have normalised the act of cheating on each other is another reason he does not rate marriage highly
The BBNaija alumni said; ”Marriage is a scam!”
His colleague, Cross Okonkwo said the assertion is a falsehood.
In response, Pere tweeted; ”Lol. Na why divorce come plenty? And couples dey cheat upandan?”
A female fan blasted him by saying; Living in sin all your life cannot be a better option.
But Pere responded; ”Assistant Jesus, I am single and not living in sin ma.”
In other news, Nigerian actress and media personality, Zainab Balogun’s four-year-old marriage to Dikko Nwachukwu has reportedly hit the rocks.
According to popular blog, Gistlovers, Zainab and her billionaire husband have been in an off and on union for years due to some domestic issues.
The actress was said to have moved out of the family house and removed the surname, Nwachukwu from her social media profile.
Gistlovers also reports that Zainab had moved out on several occasions in the past but she returned after they reconciled, however, the end of their marriage seems to have become a reality with her recent action.
The post reads; “Actress Zainab Balogun marriage to her billionaire husband Dikko Nwachukwu hits the rock.
They have been having issues in their marriage and zainab has moved out of the Marraige twice and returned but be like this time she mean business as she yanks off Nwachukwu name and picture comot for her profile and moved out of the house, We pray both parties finds peace. I come in peace”
The couple got married in 2018. He has two sons from his previous union but none with Zainab.
