Following the shortage of new naira note nationwide, Nigerians have begun to take unconventional steps to ensure they secure some cash.
A man has been spotted allegedly sleeping overnight at an ATM stand due to the crowd that usually gathers during the day.
It was gathered that he slept on the floor close to the ATMs till the next morning in order to be the first person to make a withdrawal when cash is loaded.
In a video which surfaced online, he could be seen lying down before daybreak as other people arrived at the ATM point.

In related news, a messy fight ensued between two men inside the banking hall of a popular bank and caused a disruption in financial activities.
It was gathered that the customers engaged in the violent exchange over alleged shortage of new naira notes.
They could be seen in a video picking up the stanchions used as barriers and were wielding it as weapons to attack each other.
The chaos caused a scare as other customers took cover and some ran outside the hall to avoid being caught in the crosshairs.
Ladies could be heard screaming and calling for security officials of the bank to intervene and calm the situation.
In other news, a Nigerian lady has taken to social media to cry out for advise after her fiance broke up with her following a suggestion she gave that he was not comfortable with.
She said they were preparing for introduction and she recommended he rents a Venza which he will drive to see her parents for the rites.
According to the 26-year-old woman, he has a Toyota Matrix but she does not like the car so she she thought that he would have made more money and bought a new one before the D-Day.
That did not happen so she decided to rent the Venza at N100k charge for 24 hours on his behalf without first informing him.
She made a down payment from the money he gave her to prepare the food for the introduction and when she informed him of what she did with the cash he was unhappy.
He ended the relationship by sending her a message which read; I am done, however, the lady was confused as to whether she did something wrong.
She wrote; “I want to know if it’s wrong to ask my fiancée to rent a car before coming for my introduction. He has a car but it’s Toyota matrix. He gave me but I didn’t collect it cos I don’t like it. I thought he was going to hustle to get us a new one before the intro. He is working, So i made inquiries for (rental) Venza.
It’s 100k for 24hrs which is a bit reasonable. already made deposit from the money he gave me for cooking of food for intro and my clothes. He sent this “I am done” is this how men make hasty decisions? I am 26 years old, waiting for service.”
