A Nigerian man staked a huge bet on the World Cup finals between Argentina and France, unfortunately the result did not go in his favour and this caused him to exert rage.

He reportedly placed N1.2 million on France would retain the title, but Argentina was crowned the 2022 FIFA World Cup champions.

During the game on Sunday, December 18, La Albiceleste drew 3-3 against the Frenchmen after 120 minutes at Lusail Stadium.

Lionel Messi put Argentina 1-0 up in the first 30 minutes, and Angel di Maria scored a second in the first half.

Kylian Mbappe scored a brace in the second half to force the game into extra time.

However, Messi scored for Argentina in 108 minutes before Mbappe completed his hat-trick as he scored a late goal to force the game into a penalty shootout.

Argentina eventually won 4-2 on a penalty shootout.

Following France’s loss, a Nigerian man who placed a huge bet on the team was furious and broke the TV screen.

A video making the rounds on social media captures a heated exchange between a woman and the man. She queried the angry football fan for destroying the TV set in their home.
