Man destroys family TV after allegedly staking N1.2m on France to win World Cup (Video)

A Nigerian man staked a huge bet on the World Cup finals between Argentina and France, unfortunately the result did not go in his favour and this caused him to exert rage.

He reportedly placed N1.2 million on France would retain the title, but Argentina was crowned the 2022 FIFA World Cup champions.

During the game on Sunday, December 18, La Albiceleste drew 3-3 against the Frenchmen after 120 minutes at Lusail Stadium.

Lionel Messi put Argentina 1-0 up in the first 30 minutes, and Angel di Maria scored a second in the first half.

Kylian Mbappe scored a brace in the second half to force the game into extra time.

However, Messi scored for Argentina in 108 minutes before Mbappe completed his hat-trick as he scored a late goal to force the game into a penalty shootout.

Argentina eventually won 4-2 on a penalty shootout.

Following France’s loss, a Nigerian man who placed a huge bet on the team was furious and broke the TV screen.

A video making the rounds on social media captures a heated exchange between a woman and the man. She queried the angry football fan for destroying the TV set in their home.

He lamented about how much he bet and said she should not disturb him but the lady stated that he would be the one to replace the TV.

In other news, a South African lady has lauded herself for building a new house for her parents and getting rid of the dilapidated one.

She demolished her family’s old house and built a double story-building on the same land after making it big in her career.

The young woman known as Nosiphiwo Mafilikana is a fitness and travel adviser as well as distributor for health management brands.

She took to her TikTok page and shared a video showing the before vs after moments of the two houses.

She captured the exterior and interior parts of the old house and showed when it was brought down. Another part of the clip showed when construction began for the new house.

Nosiphiwo said she came from a humble backgroun and being able to build the house is her greatest achievement in life.

The entrepreneur went on to appreciate God for empowering her to change the living conditions of her family.

She said: “I come from humble beginnings I know how it feels to have nothing that’s why I will forever grateful for everything in my life Being able to turn our DRP House into a Double Storey house has been far my greatest achievement in life Lord I’ll forever be greatful for the herbalife business opportunity.”
