London-based man reveals he’s not returned home since he sold family land for N60m

A young Nigerian man has claimed that he sold his family land years ago and fled to another country with the proceeds.

The guy known as @dangbanamanager on Twitter, said he sold the land for N60million and traveled to the United Kingdom, where he’s been ever since.

According to him, he chose not to remain in London and not return to his hometown, Ijebu-Ososa, Ogun state because of what he did.

The post generated massive reactions on the social networking service as any people wondered how he was able to pull off the act.

He shared the story in response to a tweet that read; “What’s the highest credit alert you’ve ever received at once ?”

@dangbanamanager wrote; “60million naira for the sale of our family land. That’s the reason I haven’t gone back to ososa since all this years”

I no fear lol… but I no want make many people die. Leave to fight another day … I don deh london. Help me make I return their money before Layi go collect case. No be even Bariga own na Ijebu own. If you know ososa for Bariga , na ogo-oluwa street I grow up.”

A woman identified as Amaka Okonkwo has been arrested for allegedly pouring hot water mixed with pepper on her tenant due to her inability to pay rent.

It was gathered that the victim known as Imabong William had been given quit notice over because she was struggling to pay the new rent imposed on tenants in the building.

But while the tenant was seeking for more time to find a new apartment, her landlady who seemed impatient poured hot water mixed with pepper on her.

The incident happened on Thursday, August 17th at Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.

According to sources in the community, the victim, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, was already receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital, after neighbours rescued her.

Her landlady, Amaka, had also been arrested by the police, after neighbours reported her action at Nimo police Station.

Anambra State Commissioner for Women’s Affairs, Mrs Ify Obinabo, who visited the victim, narrated that the victim stated that she was asked to vacate the house over her inability to pay the new rent increment.

She explained that she demanded some time to enable her get a new place, but unfortunately, while she was washing her clothes on Thursday, the said landlady poured hot water mixed with pepper on her from behind.

Obinabo expressed her displeasure over the incident and promised to get justice for the victim.

She warned that the Anambra State Government will not take lightly anyone found culpable of assault of any kind and went on to advise the public to always report crimes and misdemeanours through the appropriate channels for quick intervention.
