The statue of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti at Allen Avenue in Ikeja, has been pulled down by the Lagos State Government after just two years of it’s commissioning.

The monument which was commissioned in 2018 by former Governor of Lagos State Akinwunmi Ambode, was identified by the incumbent administration led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as one of the four roundabouts which was part of the major causes of gridlock in the State.
