Vera Onyekwere, a friend of the phone owner took to social media to share the story, expressing gratitude for the man’s uncommon behaviour. She said that her friend forgot the phone in Labani’s keke and when she realised it, she put a call across, which he picked.

The tricyclist responded positively by promising to return the phone as soon as he is done transporting his passengers to their location, and much to the owner’s surprise, he kept his word.

Interestingly after returning the phone, he was offered monetary reward but he refused to collect it, citing his principles as a devout Muslim. Labani eventually accepted the cash after a little insistence from the owner.
