Eyimba’s Ghanian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been sanctioned by League Management Company for aggressive act towards a ball boy in his teams 1-2 defeat at Katsina United.
Fatau was charged for assaulting the ball boy and behaving in a way that that could incite violence.
“Enyimba’s goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda was suspended for one match and fined N50,000 for aggression towards a ball boy during their match against Katsina United. Dauda was charged for breaches of Rules C11 and C1 which included assault on a ball boy and acts capable of inciting others to commit violence during their Match day 18 fixture against Katsina United,” the LMC stated.
After the match, there was also an incident of Eyimba’s bus vandalization and LMC meted out sanctions to the Katsina club for violating NPFL rules.
Katsina United were fined 2.5 million naira with half a million naira compensation as well as cost to repair the damaged bus which has not been determined yet.
