The IPOB leader is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS after being rearrested, repatriated and arraigned in court for continuation of his trial after he jumped bail in 2017.

Similarly, Igboho was declared wanted by the DSS after the secret police invaded his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, and allegedly recovered ammunitions.

Ekpa, while speaking on the planned protest, urged “concerned Nigerians” to be part of the protest to ensure justice for Nnamdi Kanu and the Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho.

According to him, “World Igbo Congress is organizing a mega rally in solidarity for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release and Sunday Igboho.

”We are calling on every concerned Nigerians to participate in the exercise. If you are a concerned Nigerian, a Biafran or Oduduwa, ensure you participate in the rally which is going to be the biggest in the country.”
