Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganuje’s aide, Salihu Yakasai known as @Dawisu on Twitter, has expressed regret for criticizing former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan.
Jonathan governed between 2011 and 2015 before losing the seat to President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2015 general elections.
Yakasai who is the Director General, Media and Communications, Kano State Government and a staunch supporter of Buhari, in a recent tweet, begged God for forgiveness over his past criticism of Jonathan and for supporting Buhari way before his 2015 presidential victory.
@Dawisu quoted a 2015 tweet of his, where he blasted the ex-president over exchange rate of naira to dollar.
“Jonathan inherited a Naira value of 155 to dollar but Naira today traded at 205 to a dollar”
#GEJMustGo” his old tweet read.
In the new post which he tweeted in Hausa, Yakasai wrote; “Allah na tuba Ka yafe ni!”, which translates to; “God I am sorry Forgive me!.”

Similarly, Yakasai had on August 31, 2020 Yakasai, drawn the president’s attention to the fact that the promise made to the Kano state has not yet been fulfilled even as the month is ending today.
He went further to ask why nothing has been done with regards to the project as he said that the people of Kano state need it to commence in earnest.
The governor’s aide wrote; “Dear President @MBuhari. We were promised that groundbreaking of Kano-Ibadan rail will commence in August, today Is 31st of August & nothing has been done, with no explanation as to why that is. The year is ending & 2023 is around the corner. We need this project Your Excellency.”
