I’ve never played bet in my life – Woman cries out as N50k mysteriously moves from her account to Sportybet

A Nigerian woman simply known as Abisoye Temitope, has cried out on social media as a result of unauthorized transactions on her account.

She said that the N50,000 she had in her bank account was used to fund a Sportybet account and she wasn’t the one that did it.

The entrepreneur said she has never engaged in sports betting in her life and the money that was deducted is her entire savings.

Abisoye tagged Sportybet, her bank and the Central Bank of Nigeria to help her recover the funds as the money for her mother’s medication is part of it.

She revealed that she got multiple debit alerts with and the amounts were being moved to the virtual betting platform, in N5000 and N10,000 installments which totalled N50k.

She wrote; “I have never played sportybet in my life but I got multiple debit alerts just now to the tune of 50,000 naira and all were saying I funded a @SportyBetNG account. @PolarisBankLtd,that’s all the money I have. Please help me. @cenbank

In other news, a software engineer identified as Paula Paul has revealed that she taught a friend tech skills who then used the knowledge against her after learning.

The lady said she introduced the friend to decentralised finance also known as (DeFi) and she made her first million from the field.

Paula said that at a time her pal was cashing out big, her own account was hacked and emptied by an unknown person.

She visited the friend to lament about how everything she worked hard to earn through the years was wiped clean.

In a dramatic twist of events, she later discovered that it was the same bestie who hacked her account.

The techie revealed that he was eventually able to recover 90 percent of the funds back as she had already spent out of the money.

Paula tweeted; I taught a very close friend Defi and she made her first millions from it, taught her jobs and she made more money from it, I was later hacked and all my funds was drained, I went to her, cried to her and explained how I worked so hard for it, I later found out she was the thief.
