I’ve never experienced ‘real heartbreak’ – Johnny Drille

Ace singer and songwriter, Johnny Drille says despite recording songs about heartbreak, he has never experienced it firsthand.

The ‘How Are You’ crooner made the disclosure via Twitter, noting that he’s never suffered ‘real heartbreak’ as all the times he has written and sang songs, it was just a made-up experience.

Johnny Drille sparked reactions with the post which has gone viral as netizens suggested he asks colleagues Ric Hassani and Chike about their experiences.

He wrote: “Never really experienced real heartbreak firsthand, so for every time I’m gonna make a song about heartbreak, just know I’m making it up. But I promise you it’ll slap still.”

Nigerian singer, Lekan Osifeso Jnr, commonly addressed as Lojay, has revealed that he’s suffered many heartbreaks at the hands of ladies.

He opened up on his relationship experiences during an episode of the Moni Talks podcast hosted by journalist, Moni Osibodu.

The ‘Monalisa’ crooner said he is a romantic guy and would continue to remain one despite his heart getting broken many times. He also noted that he was disappointed in himself.

The singer said; “I’m a romantic guy. I’ve always been a romantic guy. I don’t think that is going to change. But at the same time, [in] the space in which I exist at the moment, I have been served breakfast [heart breaks] many times. I broke up with someone because of my feelings for someone else and that person didn’t like me.

“Usually, I’m the type of person that would be more vulnerable. I’m the type of person that I put my heart on my sleeves, especially when I really like someone. But I had just learned that it is not working in my favour”.
