Barbadian Grammy winning singer, Rihanna has revealed that she’s been working on her ninth studio album for a very long time.
The last album released by Rihanna was “Anti” in 2016, and she appeared to have taken a break from music. Fans have been begging her to release a new song or project since then, but she chose to focus on her family with A$AP Rocky and business lines.
However, the 36-year-old R&B star has hinted in a new interview with ET that she may coming out of her sabbatical soon.
This is coming days after the ‘Rude Boy’ crooner caused a stir on social media when she was spotted rocking a T-shirt with the words ‘I’m Retired’.
According to Rihanna, she explained that she has been rediscovering things musically and is prepared to return to the studio.
She said; “Music for me, is a new discovery. I’m rediscovering things. I’ve been working on my next album for so long that I can’t just put all that stuff aside. And now, I’m prepared to go back to the studio”.
The globally celebrated songstress however did not disclose if she is done with the album or what the title would be.
