It’s my school fees – 16-yr-old boy begs betting company to return money he used to bet

A 16-year-old boy has stirred reactions online following his request to a betting company to return the money he lost to sports betting.

The young lad known on TikTok video @benjaminjustice39 revealed that the money is his school fees.

He uploaded a screen grab recording of his chat with the bet firm, Sportybet, where he tried to persuaded them to refund his money.

Benjamin made the demand through the company’s DM and they responded by informing him that anyone under the age of 18 is not permitted to use their services, and lost money cannot be refunded.

He wrote; “Please return my money I’m just 16 years please. It’s my school fees.”

In response, Sportybet said; “Hi, please be advised that It is strictly forbidden for persons under the age of 18 to open an account and use our services. The money once lost cannot be refunded. Thanks!”

A Nigerian man simply known as Niyi took to social media to recount how his friend lost his entire savings of N140,000.

He said the guy saved the money while doing his National Youth Service programme and when he finished he returned home.

Niyi added that rather than use the money for something tangible, his friend played virtual bet with it and lost. He said he had to buy food for him that evening as a form of consolation.

Reacting, @sirtunjiafolabi said; It takes gut to say I quit and you go ahead to quit, peer pressure to na bastard, I have seen a guy that used all what he had, his babes phone then went ahead to bring his credentials to bet, like wtf bet?
