It’s disrespectful to water down Davido’s hard work because of his father’s wealth – Timaya

Popular Dancehall singer, Timaya has stated that it is disrespectful for people to disregard the hard work that Davido put into his craft all because of his rich father.

He said he is a fan of the ‘Unavailable’ hit maker, because he is extremely talented and consistent, and he is one of the most hardworking young men that he’s seen.

According to Timaya, the music star has worked hard to make his own money and he knows that some people would not bother working if their father has money like Mr Adeleke.

He urged critics to stop trying to discredit the Omo Baba Olowo being that he is someone who has done a lot in the industry.

Timaya said; “I’m a fan of Davido , I find it disrespectful when people try to water down his hard work in the name of the father has money. Yes the father has money but Davido has worked hard to get his own.

He is extremely talented and consistent . He is one of the most hard working young men that I’ve seen. Quit trying to discredit him this young man has done way too much”.

International Afrobeats star, Davido has stated that being nominated for the recently held 66th edition of the Grammy Awards is enough to make him proud of himself.

CorrectNG reports that he bagged three nominations at the Grammys which held in the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, but failed to win an award.

Davido, who is a first time Grammy nominee, revealed that despite losing out, his billionaire father, Mr Adedeji Adeleke gave him encouraging words.

Speaking about his journey to stardom during his latest interview with Rolling Stone, the ‘Unavailable’ crooner said his dad told him that he remains a legend.

He said; “Being nominated alone is enough to make me proud of myself. I just want my song to be heard on the radio once or twice in the beginning, but for it to transcend to this is just amazing and God’s doing.

“I was on the phone with my dad yesterday and he was like ‘Son no matter what happens, you are still a legend’. So yeah, he is a big fan”.
