Innoson awards N3m scholarship to 16-year-old overall best candidate in UTME

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Motors has awarded a scholarship worth N3 million to Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, the student who emerged the overall best in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

This was made known by the Head Corporate Communications of Innoson, Cornel Osigwe in a statement on Monday, 8th of May, 2023.

Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi scored a total of 362, making her the overall best student in the 2023 UTME.

The brilliant 16-year-old student’s result is as follows; English 98, Physics 89, Biology 94 and Chemistry 81.

Innoson Motors, founded by Innocent Chukwuma, acknowledged the girl’s brilliant performance and rewarded her for it.

The automobile firm said that its decision to sponsor the education of the indigene of Enugu State, is not only a way of celebrating academic excellence but also a ‘‘reflection of the company’s dedication to investing in the education of young Nigerians.”

The statement reads; “Innoson Vehicles, a leading Nigerian automobile manufacturer, founded by Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma OFR, has once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence by awarding a N3 million scholarship to Ejikeme Joy, the overall best-performing candidate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the 2023 academic year.

The scholarship will go a long way in providing financial support to Ejikeme Joy, enabling her to pursue her tertiary education with ease in the next five years.
