The incident happened on January 7, 2024 when a multi-purpose health workers exam was conducted by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences at DAV Public School in Kotkapura.

Angrez Singh, a native of Fazilka obtained a fake school ID card and voters card to portray himself as his lover, Paramjit Kaur.

According to the police, the man who stepped out in red bangles, a bindi, lipstick and a ladies’ suit walked into the examination hall as if he were Kaur.

The plan seemed foolproof, however, he was not so lucky as university officials quickly caught wind of the charade when his fingerprints failed to match those of the genuine candidate on the biometric device.

Following his failed attempt, officials reported him to the police and filed an official complaint. The genuine candidate, Paramjit Kaur, unfortunately, had her application turned down by the administration. Meanwhile, legal action has been initiated against Angrez Singh.
