In Nigeria, elders are leaders of tomorrow – Paul Okoye

Nigerian music star, Paul Okoye of the PSquare fame, has stated that the elders, not youths are the leaders of tomorrow in Nigeria.

The singer also known as Rudeboy, made the statement on his Instagram story while reflecting on the state of leadership in Africa especially in Nigeria.

He lamented over that the future holds for young Nigerians in the West African nation because elders are becoming the leaders of tomorrow as against the popular saying ‘Youth are the leaders of tomorrow’.

Paul Okoye wrote; “In Africa especially Nigeria. Elders are the leaders of tomorrow. Take that with you”.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appealed to Nigerians to be patient and understanding as hardship intensifies as a result of economic initiatives of his administration.

He said that the challenges the country is currently facing would eventually be a thing of the past and give way to a more equitable, prosperous and inclusive economy.

Tinubu gave the assurance while addressing the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Leaders from the 36 States of the federation and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja

He said; “I make my pledge to the country that no decision will be difficult for this administration to take for the prosperity and unity of this country. Economic reforms could be slow. Be patient a little more.

“I can assure you that I understand the pains you are going through. It’s not easy to get out the monster of over forty years called fuel subsidy.’’
