A US-based Nigerian lawyer known as Moe Odele has reportedly been prevented from traveling out of Nigeria by immigration officials as she got her passport seized at the airport.
Moe, popularly known as @Mochievous on micro-blogging platform, Twitter, was a pivotal part of the #EndSARS protests which rocked the nation over two weeks ago.
Using her expertise and contacts at her disposal, the international attorney helped secure the release of protesters who were arrested and detained in police stations during the protest.
She was hailed by many for her immense contribution to the movement which lasted for a two-week period.
However, as at Monday night of November 2nd, friends close to her took to social media to reveal that she has been prevented from flying out of the country and her passport had been seized.
@Mochievous who had been in Nigeria since before the protests began, was meant to travel to Maldives for her birthday celebration but was unfortunately stopped at the airport.
She also reportedly posted a newsletter which read that a security agency (unnamed) which is investigating her, requested her to visit its office.
According to her newsletter, she's safe. She'll update us tomorrow. She has backup. If she gets detained, the hashtag is #FreeMoeSexy. If you see any screenshot of the newsletter, report the handle for posting sensitive info

Moe's newsletter came in at 10:51pm. Less than an hour ago. So she's fine (fingers crossed).
She said she's coordinating with her team so that's probably why she's been offline
Damn immigration for making Moe miss a much needed vacation.

Nigerians are using hashtags #FreeMoeSexy and #FreeMoeDollars, to call for the release of her passport, adding that she be allowed to travel because she did nothing wrong other than join the fight against police brutality.
The fact that Moe was stopped at the airport and her passport was seized, is proof that the D in our Democracy stands for Dictatorship.
Nobody is free from these tyrants. #FreeMoe

All Moe did was fight for #EndSARS protesters that were detained but the DSS arrested her at the airport and siezed her international passport. Now you see why we maintain that we have no leaders.#FreeMoe #FreeMoeDollars pic.twitter.com/r2m6Fzs6Pw
