The Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has said South-east indigenes owe him votes in the forthcoming election.

This is also as Tinubu said Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi is his “tenant” in Lagos and as landlord, he is waiting for the presidential election so that he can trump his opponent.

He made the statement on Tuesday during the presidential campaign rally in Abia State, as he dismissed the idea of Obi being a force.

The former governor of Lagos state urged APC supporters in Abia to ensure the party’s victory in the polls.

Tinubu said; “You see Lagos how e be? Go there now. You will not want to come back. The man wey won run in Labour Party (Peter Obi), he no fit stay in Anambra. He moved to Lagos. And I am his landlord. I no de worry am. I just dey wait for the day I beat am for election.

“For president, you vote for me. On March 11, they will bring governorship. But before then, on the day you are voting for president, you must vote for senator, right? APC. You will vote for us. After that, go home”.

Meanwhile, Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi has promised that the Ndigbos will enjoy if the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu is elected in next month’s election.

He gave the assurance during the APC campaign rallies in Iboko, Izzi local government area, adding that Tinubu would take care of Igbos as President Muhammadu Buhari has done.

According to Umahi, if Igbos rally around the former Governor of Lagos, they have a lot to benefit from if he becomes president.

The governor further said that Tinubu took care of Igbos during his tenure as the Governor of Lagos State.

He said: “We are standing with Tinubu and Shettima. They will take care of Ebonyi State the way Buhari took care of Ebonyi State. The way Buhari has been taking care of us that is the way Jagaban is going to take care of the Ndigbo.

“Jagaban was the governor of Lagos State and under him, Ndigbo in Lagos prospered and they are still prospering.

“This speaker has been with me for 16 years from when I was party chairman to when I was made deputy governor and then governor. We are not sentimental and will follow the man who knows the road.

“Tinubu will take care of Ebonyi the way President Muhammadu Buhari is presently doing. If you see anybody contesting governor from Ebonyi South, he is not one of us. We are not in support. When it was the turn of the south, the Abakaliki block came out to support us.”
