Nigerian actress and Big Brother Naija star, Venita Akpofure has finally confirmed that she and her colleague, Adekunle Olopade are no longer in a romantic relationship.
She made the disclosure in a bid to clear the air during an interview on Cool Fm’s The Big Friday Show hosted by Natacha “Tacha” Akide.
The mother-of-two and Adekunle were an item during last year’s BBNaija All Stars edition, and though they had plans to take their love outside, all that has changed.
Venita said the show anchor is on a different path from hers and also the fact that she is older than him is a factor that influenced the split.
She also emphasised that she has more experience in life and knows the direction she wants to go while Adekunle is “walking graceully in his lane.”
Tacha asked about Adekunle and Venita answered: “Adekunle is fine. But he is definitely walking his own path because our journeys are completely different. I am significantly older, so I have more experience in life.
So I know a bit more about the direction I want to go in. Also, this is my field of work. His field of work would probably dabble into this one and cross others. But I am fine. He is cool and walking gracefully in his lane. We are not dating, and that’s how it is.”
