Big Brother Naija two-time contestant, Venita Akpofure explains why her relationship with Adekunle Olopade didn’t last beyond the reality TV show.
The 37 year old actress said that their paths are different and she has more experience in life than the former banker because she is older.
Venita stated this in interview on Cool FM’s The Big Friday Show with Natacha “Tacha” Akide while clearing the air about what happened between herself and the 29 year old event anchor.
When asked about Adekunle, Venita answered: “Adekunle is fine. But he is definitely walking his own path because our journeys are completely different. I am significantly older, so I have more experience in life.“
Also, the beautiful mother of two confirmed in the same interview that she and Adekunle Olopade are not dating or in any type of romantic relationship.
The duo were an item during last year’s BBNaija All Stars edition, and though they had plans to take their love outside, all that has changed.
Venita said Adekunle is on a different path from hers and also the fact that she is older than him is a factor that influenced the split.
She also emphasised that she has more experience in life and knows the direction she wants to go while Adekunle is “walking graceully in his lane.”
Venita said; “So I know a bit more about the direction I want to go in. Also, this is my field of work. His field of work would probably dabble into this one and cross others. But I am fine. He is cool and walking gracefully in his lane. We are not dating, and that’s how it is.”
