Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun also known as Wizkid broke down in tears at the burial ceremony of his mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun.
The award-winning singer together with his sisters and family held funeral service on October 12, for her which had a good number of friends and coworkers in attendance.
In his heartfelt speech, Wizkid, who was sobbing deeply said he is lost without his mother and he loves her dearly.
“I’m lost without you, Mom. I love you so much. I love you”, he said.
The 33-year-old said her death has created a huge grief and pain in his heart which is a feeling he has never experienced before.
A video from the memorial service showed him praying fervently and asking God to give him and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Big Wiz also expressed gratitude to people who showed up to offer moral support and was thankful to his family for sticking with each other through the difficult time.
“The pain is deep, I’ve never felt this pain in my life”, said Wizkid who was with his partner, Jada Pollock and their son, Zion.
