I’m depressed, I have only N1.3million – Unemployed man laments

A 31-year-old Nigerian man has cried out online that he’s battling depression due to being unemployed since he graduated from the university.

He, however, revealed that he has N1.3 million in his bank account but he still does not feel fulfilled because he’s been searching for job tirelessly without good result.

Taking to anonymous messaging platform, NGL, the man said most of the job offers he’s been seeing are the ones willing to pay N150,000 salary per month and he feels they are not tangible.

According to the distraught man, he has considered relocating to another country because it is hard succeeding in Nigeria, but making travel arrangement is also expensive.

In his words; “I am tired and depressed and jobless. I am a 31 year old man with only 1.3 Million Naira in my account. Being job hunting for a while but nothing tangible other than 150k job. It’s depressing making it here in Nigeria. Considered leaving the country but japa is very expensive.”

A Kaduna state Chief Magistrate’s Court has sentenced a 40-year-old man Michael Timothy, to two years imprisonment for N1.8million visa fraud.

Police Prosecutor, Inspector Chidi Leo, told the court that the convict was arrested for with collecting money under false pretence.

He said Tinubu fraudulently obtained the sum of N1.8 million from Cynthia Cole with the promise of securing a visa for her to travel to Canada.

According to the prosecutor, Timothy’s offence is in violation of Kaduna State Penal Code of 2017. Inspector Leo called four witnesses during the trial who informed the court how the convict committed the crime on February 20.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the crime, and Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel sentenced him without the option of a fine. Emmanuel noted that the sentence would be served consecutively and would act as a deterrence to others.
