I’m bringing the Grammy – Rema promises Elumelu

Ace Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor professionally known as Rema has vowed to win an award at the 68th Grammys.

The ‘Calm Down’ crooner gave the assurance during a recent visit to business mogul, Tony Elumelu’s multi-million-naira mansion.

Rema was warmly received by the Elumelu family and during discussions with the UBA Chairperson, he promised to bring home a Grammy award, despite not being nominated in 2023/2024 edition.

Rema vows to win Grammy

In a video making the rounds online, the Mavin Records act could be seen meeting the billionaire’s wife and twin sons, who he posed for a photo with.

Asides his hefty vow, the singer presented Tony Elumelu with an exclusive album copy and his merchandise (Air Rema).

The singer also expressed gratitude for the businessman’s significant impact and support in the music industry, emphasizing the importance of his contributions to him personally.

Rema said; “Thank you for what you have done and the support you have for the music industry. I am grateful, it means a lot to me. This year I am bringing the Grammy”.

CorrectNG reports that few weeks ago, music superstar, David Adeleke better known as Davido took to social media to celebrate as he finally got nominated for a Grammy Award.

The ‘FIA’ crooner bagged a total of three nominations in the 66th Grammys, second to self acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy with four nominations.

Davido’s fourth studio album, ‘Timeless’ was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category. While ‘Unavailable’ was nominated in the Best African Music Performance. The singer’s melodious tune, ‘Feel’ got the final nomination under the Best Global Music Performance category.

Celebrating his achievement via his official Twitter page, the OBO wrote; “3 nominations at the Grammys! Delay is not denial!”
