Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham, who is an ardent supporter of President Bola Tinubu, has vowed never to reveal her political inclinations again.
This announcement came on the heels of a series of backlash on social media for campaigning for Tinubu in the 2023 presidential elections.
Toyin often receives criticism for her political choices, however, the latest which made the trend table was stirred by an inquiry from a Twitter (X) user who wished that someday, she will share plans she claimed Tinubu shared with her during campaigns.
“Maybe one day Toyin Abraham will divulge the plans Bola Tinubu shared with her to the public. I strongly believe we deserve to hear. Thank u @toyin_abraham1,” the tweep wrote.
In response, the actress said; “Of course, I was told and promised good governance and happiness for everyone and I believed. If things didn’t go well why do I have to be the one to suffer for it?
Because I remember I voted for Jonathan and I was bullied but I didn’t blame anyone after everyone chose Buhari. So please why would they be cursing and trolling me every time?”
Furthermore, the user asked if she believed her candidate had failed at the moment in governance, but she avoided answering that question and instead said she had learnt her lesson never to be open with her political affiliation.
“I have faced my life and career cos I am not a politician and I’m not in government, I have learnt my lesson never ever to be open with my choice again,” Toyin Abraham wrote.
