President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to serve Nigerians to the best of his ability as he promised during campaigns.
He is making the fresh promise less than six months to the end of his tenure.
Speaking when he paid homage to the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Adamu, on Monday, Buhari recalled visiting all the local governments of Nigeria, where he promised to serve the country.
He said; “In 2003 and 2012, I visited all the 774 local government areas in this country, and in 2019 when I was contesting for the second term, I visited all the states.
“So, there, I made the promise and the pledge that I will serve Nigeria and Nigerians to the best of my ability”.
On his part, the monarch commended Buhari for his visit while appealing to politicians to eschew bitterness in politics.

“This speaker has been with me for 16 years from when I was party chairman to when I was made deputy governor and then governor. We are not sentimental and will follow the man who knows the road.
“Tinubu will take care of Ebonyi the way President Muhammadu Buhari is presently doing. If you see anybody contesting governor from Ebonyi South, he is not one of us. We are not in support. When it was the turn of the south, the Abakaliki block came out to support us.”
