I worked at Chocolate City as Audu Maikori’s assistant – Odumodublvck’s boss, Teezee

Nigerian singer and founder of Native Records, Teni Zaccheaus, professionally known as Teezee, has revealed that he once worked as an assistant to former Chocolate City CEO, Audu Maikori.

The UK returnee said when he returned to Nigeria for the mandatory youth service, he worked at Chocolate City for six months, when MI Abaga, Ice Prince and co were just starting to become household names.

Teezee, who is the CEO of the record label Odumodublvck’s is signed to, made the revelation during a chat on Madeaux podcast, adding that he left the music label to explore oil trading.

According to him, there was a phase where he locked his Instagram page due to depression and warned people to stop calling him Teezee.

The member of DRB Lasgidi said he finally got his groove back when he started doing brand ambassador for Jameson and that was a transition moment for him.

The ‘Declan Rice’ crooner, who was given a warm welcome, mentioned how hip-hop legends like 2pac, DMX, and 50 Cent significantly influenced his love of the genre.

The rapper recalled how he absorbed components of 50 Cent’s unique sound into his music style and how conforming to the G-Unit concept gave rise to his robust team that he cherishes greatly.

Odumodublvck joins his Nigerian compatriot, Adekunle Gold and international music superstars such as Rihanna, DJ Khaled, and Justin Bieber who have contracts with Def Jam.
