Nigerian media personality and talk show host, Toke Makinwa has issued a public service announcement to those who often criticise her for living her life.
She said that she will no longer allow herself to be a punching bag for the public and anyone who comes for her will get an equal reaction.
Toke Makinwa lamented that Nigerians always comment on everything about her as if they can stand to stand in her presence or do same if they meet her.
In a new year’s message to the public via her Twitter (X) account on Thursday, January 11, the TV presenter warned that she also has a mouth with which she can reply to verbal attacks.
She tweeted; “This year I will no longer be your punching bag, I have a mouth too and I will no longer look away if you come at me left. No be me do you. Ya”ll comment on everything that has to do with me like you can stand in my presence. You wish!!!!”
You can just be in your own world doing your own thing and here comes the BS. Like life is not dealing with us all and everyone is not just doing the best that they can. Heal o before you bleed on people who did not cut you. It is way too much. I am no longer subscribing to looking away.
“Imagine dating someone who trolls strangers on the internet, like imagine having so much bile at someone you cannot be, some of you actually need to get help this year cos this disgusting behavior of trolling or hurling insults at people you don’t know is sickening.”
Recall that she faced criticism in December 2023 following the revelation that she was among the ‘officials’ taken to Dubai for COP28 Climate summit.
