In other entertainment news, Nigerian actress, Regina Daniels, has said that Nollywood industry is not a safe place for young girls to work.

She stated this via her social media page while urging producers and directors to discontinue and discourage the act of employing minors into the movie industry.

The 22-year-old actress recalled the time she met a 14-year-old girl dressed indecently and working under a makeup artist on a movie set.

Daniels, in a video she posted on Instagram advised her colleagues to shun child labour and keep the Nigerian entertainment industry secure.

She said; I met a 14-year-old girl wearing a short skirt, crop top and working under another young guy on the movie set who claims to be a make-up artist.

Her parents are far away in Port Harcourt and she came to Lagos last year. She sleeps in different hotel rooms with whoever agrees to accommodate her every night and is not willing to go back to her parents.

This girl told me that she is here to learn but trust me, I know the industry and it is not a safe place for young girls.

She captioned the clip: “DISCLAIMER!!! This goes to the CELEBRITIES AND MOVIE PRODUCERS PLEASE SAY NO TO CHILD LABOUR and keep the industry Secure.”
