I still don’t know why my marriage crashed – OAP Lolo 1

Nigerian On-Air-Personality, Omotunde Adebowale-David, professionally called Lolo 1, has hinted that till date she hasn’t fully grasped why her marriage crashed.

The radio presenter said her union to her husband failed because “life happened” and her experience was more or less a “make or mar situation.”

Lolo 1 stated this in in a recent interview with TVC, adding that many people settle down with someone without having a clear picture of the direction they want to go.

She said; “Well for me, life happened. A lot of times people go into marriage with a little bit of understanding of what they really are going into. And they don’t have a clear picture.

Unfortunately, their lives unfold during the marriage and it is like a make-or-mar situation. I think that’s what happened to me”.

Funke, fondly known as Jenifa, said she was on a movie set when someone told her that the media was reporting about her marriage crashing and it made her break down in tears.

On how she was able to pick up the broken pieces, the Nollywood star said her mother played a crucial role in helping her navigate through this challenging period.

She said; “Take your time, if you rush in you will rush out. You know, I just wanted to get married. I want to do things right, have children and all that. When I went into the marriage, it didn’t work fine. And it ended in a very bad way, in social media, the noise was everywhere. I was actually filming and somebody called me and told me, I wanted to die!

“You know I cried, lost some good deals then. But I didn’t let it break me. Thank God for my mum who encouraged me to put more effort to work. I channeled the energy to work and I kept saving more. I didn’t let the situation break me down.”
