I spend large percentage of my music money on charity – Burna Boy

Top Afrobeats and Dancehall singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy revealed that he spends a large percentage of his music earnings on charitable causes.

The Grammy winner said he does a lot of philanthropy without broadcasting it on social media, but fans would not know any better.

Burna Boy who disclosed this during an Instagram live session, said the amount he paid for his luxurious cars and jewelry are the “least” of his earnings, as he spends the larger part on community development.

He said; “I spend a large percentage of my earnings helping the community, but I will never come online to say it. You might see me with all these diamonds and cars, but that is literally the least of my earnings.”

Budding rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, professionally called Odumodublvck revealed that he spent most of his earnings in 2023 on his friends.

The Hip Hop artiste said that if he has made N100 million last year, then he must have spent about N95 million (Ninety Five Million Naira) helping out his friends and family.

The ‘Picanto’ hit maker said since he became successful, he has been using his money to support his friends business as most of the product he uses were given to him.

Odumodublvck said the Timberland he wore in the interview is a limited edition footwear that was delivered to him by the company and the only other person that has it is Burna Boy.

He said; “To be honest yeah, if I’ve made 100 million this year, I have spent 95 million on my nxxggas and the people around me. This Timberland was given to me by Timberland, it is only me and Burna Boy that have it…

“If I show my transaction today, I have sent at least N10 million… I just bought a car and I had to buy it because the Picanto was now too slow. I just bought one small Beamer.”
