I never thought a Nigerian could be Top 5 on US charts – Davido salutes Rema

Ace Nigerian singer, David Adeleke also known as Davido, has commended young artiste, Rema, on his latest achievement in the United States of America.

Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ remix featuring Selena Gomez recently made chart history by being the first Nigerian song to stay a year on U.S. Billboard.

Speaking on the feat in a recent interview on UAE’s The Kris Fade Show, Davido expressed amazement at how the song made it to Top 5 on the charts.

Davido said seeing how Afrobeat has grown globally is unbelievable and that he’s proud to see stars like Rema killing it on the international scene.

OBO said; “Years ago, I’d never ever think a Nigerian artiste would have a Top 5 record in America. Rema has had Top 5 records in America for like the past eight months, non-shaken. Everybody has dropped but he’s in Top 5”.

He took to his official Twitter account on Monday, August 7 and saluted BNXN for being good at writing songs, particularly the track they worked on together.

Olamide who recently dropped his highly anticipated album, Unruly featured BNXN on track 7 titled; ‘Come Alive’.

BNXN formerly known as Buju, expressed disbelief that he was fortunate to be on the project and rejoiced over the development.
