Speaking in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast, Oxlade disclosed that he was being blackmailed with the video before it got leaked.

He explained that he felt relieved when the videos finally hit social media because he was tired of the blackmailer using it to extort money from him.

He, however, admitted that the scandal affected his family and his mental health as well as his brand and he had to go for 3-month rehabilitation in the United Kingdom.

Oxlade also said that despite the personal relief, what broke him regarding the scandal was when his grandmother started crying.

The singe further disclosed that revealed that brands distanced themselves from him with the excuse that he is bad influence on the youth and children who see him as a role model.
