I had the wrong people around me in 2023 – Ruger

Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known by his stage name, Ruger, has claimed to have been surrounded by the ‘wrong people’ last year.

The ‘Asiwaju’ crooner took to his Instastory and said he slacked in 2023 due to the nature of friends and associates around him.

Ruger explained that the energy of the people in question affected him so much to a point where he stopped feeling like himself.

The singer further stated that he left the wrong people behind in 2023, stressing that he would be mad, dangerous, selfish and loving man this year.

Ruger wrote; “2023, I slacked. I had the wrong people around me and I let them affect my energy. It got to a point that I didn’t feel like ruger anymore.

Anyways, I’ve left each and everyone of them in 2023. In 2024, I am a mad, dangerous, selfish and loving man.”

Meanwhile, CorrectNG reported earlier that the Afrobeats sensation recounted his experience with a female fan that sexually assaulted him on stage.

It may be recalled that in 2022, Ruger was performing at an event in Lagos when lady who was in the front row grabbed his crotch, forcing him to stop immediately and storm out of stage.

He narrated how the incident affected him, saying he nearly burst into tears because the lady didn’t just grab on but pressed it. According to the 24-year-old singer, the lady didn’t bother to apologise to him to date.

Ruger said; “The lady didn’t just touch my manhood; she pressed it. It was so painful. It wasn’t sexy because of the aggressive nature of Nigerian girls.

“During my international shows, I enjoy ladies serenading me but that Nigerian lady grabbed my manhood aggressively. The way she grabbed it I felt pain in my stomach. I almost cried.”
