The Christian vocalist said that for some their consecration lets them charge; however, he doesn’t do so because of his own consecration. He stressed that despite the fact he doesn’t charge to perform at events, the Lord continues to bless him.

Furthermore, Timi Agbaje called Oyekan’s attention to how come secular musicians get into the right mood by getting high on alcohol and wondered what he does to be in the same mood.

Dunsin Oyekan explained that in accordance to the scripture, one is supposed to be in the spirit, and the best way to ‘get high’ is to pray in the Spirit and Holy Ghost, not drinking alcohol.

When asked if he charges, the gospel singer said; “Depends on what the Lord has told you, I call it ‘your consecration’. I believe there is a place for making sure that people are fine. My consecration demands that I don’t charge, but God blesses me.”
