CorrectNG reported earlier that the Afrobeats sensation revealed the inspiration behind his multi-million-naira frog pendant from Ice Box.

He recalled being called a frog on microblogging site, Twitter because of his hoarse voice, and because of that he decided to get himself an expensive frog neck pendant to get back at those making fun of him on social media.

He also said in the interview that he is a big fan of jewelry, and to celebrate his album getting Grammy nomination this year, he decided to do a ‘Timeless’ chain.

Davido said; “Everybody knows me I’m a big fan of jewelry. Got the Patek, got the Rollie, two Rolexes. Famous Timeless piece I just did, obviously my new album, ‘Timeless’ came out earlier this year, Grammy nominated album Timeless.

So I wanted to like celebrate, to do something craazy for it so I got this idea of like an hourglass, because that represents patience to me. And I feel like every blessing that I’ve gotten through this album. It has a lot to do with me being patient and just knowing that everybody has their time that God will bless them.

I made a frog chain because my voice is hoarse and they [trolls] were calling me frog on Twitter. I was like, you know what? I’m going to make a chain out of that sh*t.”
