I am not gay – Charly Boy announces amid Bobrisky’s arrest

Ace singer and media personality, Charles Oputa also known as Charly Boy, has finally cleared the air about his much talked about sexuality.

The veteran musician stated during a chat with his relative, Big Brother Naija star, Uriel Oputa, that although he could be gay he isn’t.

Charly Boy not gay

Charly Boy noted that he has a feminine side which he called Linda, but emphasized that if he were gay he would have been championing the fight for gay rights in Nigeria.

The ‘Area Fada’ made the revelation amid the reported arrest of controversial crossdresser and alleged transperson, Bobrisky by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Charly Boy said; “I’ve a feminine side I called Linda. And I remember when I was doing the Charly Boy show, I had this character I always played called Miss Zigizigi. I picked that up when I was in the United States.

“So I’ve my feminine ways and sometimes I can get confusing if you really don’t know who I am. A lot of people have said I am gay.

“I could be but I am not. Because if I was gay I will be carrying my placards going around and fighting for gay rights.”
