JAMB examination is taken by secondary school graduates who are seeking admission into the different tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
There are different ways to check your JAMB result. You can check your JAMB result with SMS or You can check your JAMB result with your registration number online
HOW TO CHECK JAMB RESULT WITH SMS
To check your JAMB result via SMS, you will need the follow:
- NIN SIM card used for JAMB registration at the CBT centre.
- At least ₦50 airtime on your phone as it would cost a sum of ₦50 to check your JAMB result with SMS
- A Mobile phone
If you have everything listed above, follow the steps below to check your JAMB result via SMS.
STEP 1 – Make the SIM card in your phone is the one you used in registering for JAMB at the CBT center.
STEP 2 – From the phone in step 1 above, send UTMERESULT in an SMS to 55019 or 66019.
UTMERESULT should be in capital letter and you should not add any other thing to the content of the SMS.
After completing the steps above, you will receive an SMS from JAMB with your JAMB result.
Your JAMB result will show your total score which is what the different tertiary institutions need to beat their cut-off marks for you to qualify to sit for their Post – UTME examinations.
Your JAMB result will also show your scores in each of the four subjects you took in the examination. For example, Use of English Language which is mandatory for all candidates, and any other three depending on your course of choice combination requirements.

DISADVANTAGES OF CHECKING YOUR JAMB RESULT VIA SMS
The only disadvantage of checking your JAMB result via SMS is that you will not be able to print put a copy of the result. However, you can always check your result first with SMS before deciding if there would be a need for a print out.
