How I caught police officer trying to plant Indian hemp in my car – Law graduate

A Nigerian man identified as Ben Kingsley Nwashara, has recounted his encounter with a police man that wanted to frame him up as a drug dealer.

The graduate of law revealed that the officer stopped his car while driving along Benin-Ore expressway and ordered him to open the boot.

Ben Kingsley said the police man immediately went to open it without waiting for him to turn of the ignition and alight. He revealed how fortunate he was that the came down and saw the office holding a squeezed wrap of Indian hemp (weed) about to put it in the boot.

The young man shared his experience as a cautinary tale to other road users that they should not open the boot of their car for anyone without first coming down.

He wrote; “A policeman parked me along Benin-Ore express, shouted at me to open my boot. And he went straight to my boot before I could even turn off the engine.

I came down first to meet him only to see the pack of Indian hemp squeezed in his hand. He wanted to throw it inside the boot immediately I open it.

Na God save me. Don’t ever open your boot for anyone before coming down the car. Watch them closely when they’re searching your car.”

Some social media users shared similar experiences in the comment section of Ben Kingsley’s post on microblogging site, Twitter.

@saito_nagata; I almost loose guard one day because I was in a hurry ,opened my boot before stepping out the car, it was the police man who advised me never to do that again

@Onsogbu; Some beg for a ride, then they stylishly put expended bullet under your seat, then after a little while they say they want to alight from your car …when you drive off they’ll call their team members in the checkpoint ahead and tell them where they kept the bullet and describe your vehicle…..

When you get there they’ll search them see the expended bullet and that is how you’ll become an armed robber…..

Caution: When you give any of them a ride, and they alight on the way, move a little then stop and do a thorough search of your vehicle before proceeding……I am talking from experience.
