The Nigerian government has congratulated famous music sensation, Divine Ikubor aka Rema for his win at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, VMAs.
It may be recalled that few days ago, Rema won the ‘Best Afrobeats’ category at the MTV award ceremony which held in New Jersey, United States.
Rema beat his senior colleagues, Davido, Wizkid and others to win the award with his collaborative hit song, ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez.
In an official statement acknowledging his feat, FG wrote; “Congratulations to Nigeria’s very own – Rema, on winning the ‘Best Afrobeats’ at the VMAs.
“Winning ‘Best Afrobeats’ at the VMAs is just a milestone in Rema’s remarkable career. He continues to represent the country on the global stage, breaking barriers and inspiring countless others.
