Nigerian comedian, Emmanuel Iwueke aka Craze Clown, on Saturday, revealed that late Ghanaian football star, Christian Atsu has been very supportive of him for a long time.

The skit-maker made this known while mourning the 31-year-old midfielder who died due to the recent Turkey-Syria earthquake.

Atsu was caught up in a 7.8-magnitude quake that rocked on February 6, killing more than 43,000 people in Syria and Turkey.

Craze Clown said the former New Castle player reached out to him in 2015 when his dad passed away and he paid his school fees till he graduated.

The content creator who has a medical degree said he could not hold back the tears he felt after losing a great friend.

He shared an old conversation with Atsu where he promised to take care of his tuition till he completes his degree and expressed optimism that the comedian will get a job after.

Craze Clown wrote; “Christian has been supporting me from way back 2015. When I lost my dad, he l reached out and offered to pay my fees till i graduated and he did πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ you’ve been a great friend of mine Chris and I will surely miss you πŸ™πŸΎ I really can’t hold back the tears πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ Rest well brother.”

There were initial reports that Atsu been rescued a day after the earthquake, but it turned out to be false news as his manager in Turkey, Murat Uzunmehmet, told DHA news agency on Saturday that his body had been found under the rubble in the Turkish southern province of Hatay.

β€œWe have reached his lifeless body. His belongings are still being removed. His phone was also found,” Uzunmehmet told DHA.
