Gunmen kidnap landlords in Abuja, demand N20m

Two landlords have allegedly been abducted by unknown gunmen in the Federal Capital Territory.

The kidnappers were said to have invaded the Asokoro extension of Abuja on Sunday, 3rd of December, 2023. They are reportedly demanding N20 million (Twenty Million Naira) in ransom to release the victims.

According to the reports, armed men pointed a gun one of the landlords in the neighbourhood, whom they used to get access to a victim.

A resident of the area who only identified himself as James said the other victim was on his way into his house when he was abducted by the armed men.

He said, “It happened around 11 pm on Sunday. Because of the heat, one of the landlords slept outside. They saw him and pointed a gun to his head.

They asked him to take them to his house, and he showed them but they were not satisfied with the kind of house he lives in.”

Asokoro Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Mohammed Seidu, confirmed the incident to newsmen, adding that efforts were being made with the police to rescue the victims.
