Group urges government to seize Naira Marley, Sam Larry’s properties

A group, Save the P00r and Needy Charity Initiative has called on the Federal Government to confiscate properties of rapper, Naira Marley and Samson Balogun alias Sam Larry, over alleged involvement in the death of Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The human rights advocacy group advised that their accounts be frozen and also asked security agencies to declare them wanted over the allegations.

Mohbad passed away at the age of 27 under questionable circumstances last week and there have been calls for the matter to be investigated to a reasonable end.

President of the group, Comrade Yemi Bello in a statement on Friday, asked government to act fast as Sam Larry, said to have fled Nigeria threatened Iyabo Ojo.

“We want the federal government to confiscate their properties and freeze their bank account and investigate their source of money and wealth.

We want them to immediately declare them wanted as we also say to government of those countries they are to deport them immediately to prove their innocence,” he said.

Mother of late musician, Mohbad, Mrs. Promise Aloba, has revealed what her son informed her about his former record label, boss, Naira Marley.

She said Mohbad revealed that he had been receiving threats from Naira Marley and he always received beatings from Sam Larry after he left the label in 2022.

The late singer’s mum said her son begged her to guide him so that he will not be killed by those who were attacking him.

The grieving woman then called on the Senate and Nigerians to ensure that the Marlian Music founder is arrested.

Mrs Aloba called for Marley’s arrest when the Chairman, Senate Committee on Entertainment Economy, Elisha Abbo, Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo, paid the family a condolence visit in Lagos on Thursday.
