Governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano on Saturday visited three offices of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in the state.
The offices are in Ekwulobia, Neni and Awkuzu.
Obiano during the visit, granted unconditional bail to three people being illegally detained by the disbanded unit.
Speaking during the exercise, Governor Obiano said, “the Commissioner of Police in the state has released everyone detained illegally, and everyone remanded by the order of the court, will remain there until their cases are determined.”
Recall that the governor had on Thursday, October 15, sacked his security aide, James Nwafor, who was the former SARS boss at the Awkuzu branch.
