Government knows the politicians behind insecurity – Primate Ayodele

General Overseer of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said politicians are behind insecurity in Nigeria because they are making money from the menace.

He warned that if they are not arrested as soon as possible, the problem will persist.

The clergyman made the statement on Tuesday, January 10th, as he noted that those in power know the politicians who are responsible for the rising insecurity.

Ayodele, in a statement by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin also warned that prominent people would be kidnapped in 2023.

Primate Ayodele also said God will soon expose them as kidnappings and killings will start to reduce in the country.

He said; “There are people behind the insecurity challenges that Nigeria is facing. They must be arrested. If the government fails to make this move, the insecurity problem will persist.

“Those who are behind insecurity are in the security systems, and those in charge know them. The politicians are behind insecurity in Nigeria because they are gaining from it, and God will soon expose them.

“Kidnappings and killings will end but not today and not tomorrow. Terror attacks will be minimized, but it won’t end completely. The Fulani herdsmen crisis will be a thing of the past. A new government will set up a controlling agency to handle the cattle issue.’’

In other news, President Muhammadu Buhari recently said his administration has made it difficult for future elections to be rigged in Nigeria.

A statement by his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said the president stated this while hosting West African Elders Forum Pre-Election Mediation Mission, led by former Sierra Leonean President, Dr Ernest Bai Koroma at the State House, Abuja.

Buhari also said Nigerians are now free to vote for whatever political party or whichever candidate they want in 2023.

He restated that the 2023 general elections would be free, fair and credible, as manipulations would not be allowed in any form.

The statement was titled “President Buhari to West African Elders: our election will be free, fair, credible.”

Buhari expressed thanks to his guests for their service to the sub-region as he cited the off-season elections held in Anambra, Ekiti and Osun States, as pointers to the Nigerian Government’s readiness to allow people to elect leaders of their choice.

He said; “Thank you for accepting to do this service for our sub-region. That right is a guarantee. We are settling down, and making progress. People should vote whoever they want, in whatever party. We shall not allow anyone to use money and thugs to intimidate the people.

Nigerians know better now, they are wiser, and know that it is better to dialogue than to carry weapons. Elections are even more difficult to rig now.”
