Good Samaritan laments after lady he helped inside bus fled with his transport money

A Nigerian man has shared his experience with a lady who scammed him after he offered her assistance in Lagos.

The good Samaritan known as @Khanstillday said he boarded a commercial bus and a girl begged him to pay to pay her transport fare.

He agreed to pay for her, however, her bus stop was before his so that meant she had to alight before him.

When she reached her bus stop and was about to drop, Khan gave her the money to pay for both of them, but she paid for only herself and absconded with the change.

According to him, she was well aware of the wrong she did which is why she did not turn back, and she hastily crossed to the other side of the road.

He said that though the incident shocked him, it still won’t prevent him from helping another person in need.

In his words; ”I entered a public bus today, A lady beside begged to pay her transport which I agreed to. She was alighting before me so I gave her the money to pay for both of us, can you believe this girl paid for only herself, collected the change and left LMAO. I don tire for this Lagos

She knew exactly what she was doing, mama no even look back. She crossed the road to the other side immediately, i just sat there just looking cus he shock me

Doesn’t change anything though, if i enter a bus tomorrow and I see someone in need, I’d still help. I’ll just do it a different way.”

Meanwhile, there was another drama when a Nigerian lady boarded a commercial bus while heading to work and paid with the newly released N1000 note which was rejected.

CorrectNG reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria released the N200, N500, and N1000 notes to banks on December 15, 2022.

The new and old notes are allowed to be used side by side until 31st January 2023, when the old design would cease to be valid.

The passenger was left stranded because the bus conductor insisted that he would not collect the money as he wasn’t sure it is real or fake.

She claimed not to have any other money on her apart from the new N1,000 and this caused some delay as she could not drop and they could not move forward either.

A video making the rounds online shows passengers confused as the two of them continued to exchange words over the money’s authenticity.

Someone asked the conductor if he is not aware that there are new naira notes in circulation, in responded that he does not know the one the woman wanted to pay him with.

The person then gave him the old 1k note and the conductor said he recognises it even if his eyes were closed.

He wanted the female passenger to alight from his bus and enter another one but a man sitting beside her came to her defence and wondered why he was rejecting it.

The conductor then had no other choice than to collect it and he went to ask some of hi colleagues if it is real money.
