#Gone2Lagos! Black Panther stars, Lupita Nyong’O and Danai Gurira storm Lagos



Two Black Panther stars, Lupita Nyong’O, who became popular for her role in 2013 movie ‘Twelve Years A Slave’ and Danai Gurira, who has been very popular for her role in popular TV serie, The Walking Dead, are currently in Lagos.

Lupita Nyong’O took to her Instagram page to share a picture of herself and her Black Panther co-star Danai Gurira in Lagos with the caption;

“Girls Trip #Lagos #Nigeria”.

The duo had earlier been spotted in South Africa only few weeks ago.[AdSense-A]

Fans and Nigerian celebrities alike are ecstatic about it.

Some have taken to social media to share their feelings about the actresses being in the country.

Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson Akande said “Nice one ladies!”.

Cool FM OAP Kaylah Oniwo said “Oh wow” and added a love emoji.

The star of Emmy winning show Orange is the New Black Uzo Aduba said “Ehh! Enjoy my country”.

Lupita Nyong’O used to be in MTVBase’s HIV/AIDS awareness show Sugar in Kenya.

However, she came to our attention for her performance, playing “Patsey” in the award winning movie Twelve Years a Slave starring alongside actors like Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Chiwetel Ejiofor among others.

She went further to win an Oscar for “Best Supporting Actress” for her performance in the film.

Her speech “Your Dreams are Valid” have been quoted by many Africans while receiving awards.

She is said to be in an upcoming movie adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel Americanah.

Danai Guirira plays the role of “Michonne” in AMC’s The Walking Dead.

She played “Okoye” in the record setting movie Black Panther a Dora Milaje.

She and Lupita also played lead in the Tony Award nominated play Eclipsed.

Danai was also the “Star Power” recipient at the 2016 Black Girls Rock Awards on BET.

The pair is fun to watch and fans are excited to see them together in Lagos.[AdSense-A]
