Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has celebrated Mrs. Ajayi Folashade, a 50-year-old woman who enrolled herself into Ilorin Grammar School in Kwara state.
She had joined little school kids in JSS2 to continue her academic journey.
Atiku, took to his official Instagram page to praise the mother, stating that her life shows all that getting an education can never be too late for anybody.
Speaking further, the 2019 Presidential candidate noted that the country needs education to unlock its “huge potentials”. He added that when the country gets education right, many things will become better.
He shared different photos of the woman, one showed her raising up her hand as a student would when wanting to ask a question. In another one, she is seated as the centre of attraction among pupils who are young enough to be her children.
The politician captioned his post; ”We all have lessons to learn from inspirational Shade Ajayi, 50, the oldest student at Ilorin Grammar School, Ilorin, Kwara State. She is reminding us that it is never too late to get an education.
Education is the key that will unlock Nigeria’s latent huge potentials. When we get education right, we will get Nigeria right. Like I had suggested in the past, the Federal, States, and Local Governments should consider a policy of allocating at least 10% of the total budget appropriations to the education sector.”
